What the small number leaves out

Rochester Car Rental publishes one daily rate per car, and this page prints all of them in order with the smallest first. No counter exists to queue at, so the figure does not grow while somebody looks up a booking. Whichever row you take, the car arrives where you asked for it, washed and on a full tank, and the exchange runs the same at the top of the column as at the bottom.

As the ledger stands the first row asks $55 a day and the last asks $945, across 16 rows, and those three figures move when the office moves them rather than when this site is rebuilt.

The list is the whole pitch

No featured row, no upsell strip, no badge saying which one we would rather you took. Rate order, top to bottom, and the first row is the smallest number the company charges.

One handover, every rate

Driven to you, washed, tank filled, keys over and done. That is what the number at the bottom of the ledger buys and it is also what the number at the top buys.

The figure you pay is settled first

Rate, delivery charge and tax are totalled on that car's own page before anybody types a card number. This ledger itself never collects money.

Read down, then open a row.

Read down the rate column

Rows are printed cheapest first. Stop at the first number you are happy to pay for a day.

Open the row

Every row opens that vehicle on rochester.rentals, where your dates are priced and any delivery fee is worked out.

Say where to bring it

Either DTW terminal, or wherever in the metro suits you. It turns up washed, on a full tank.

A white Toyota Corolla parked outdoors in daylight, washed and ready to be handed over.
Handed over where you asked Washed, full tank, at every rate

Before you book, ask.

If a rate or a delivery is unclear, put it in writing here. It reaches Rochester Car Rental. No payment is taken on this page.

What gets sent: whatever you type, plus which page you were on. Nothing else is collected and no card details are ever asked for here.

Ask about a rate

Write the address out in full, dot and ending included. A half typed one is turned away at the door and never reaches anybody.

Questions people actually ask

How is this list ordered?
By the published daily rate, smallest first. Nothing is promoted, and nothing is pushed down the page. Two rows on the same rate are separated only so the order does not shuffle between builds.
What sits at the cheap end today?
Whatever the top row says. Read down until a number suits you, and stop there; nothing cheaper is held back behind a code, a call or a membership.
Does a smaller rate get a smaller handover?
No. Every row goes out washed, with a full tank, to the airport or to an address, and the handover is just as short at either end of the column. The rate changes as you read down. Nothing else does.
Where do the cars sit before they reach me?
In Detroit, Rochester Hills, Romulus, Michigan. It matters only because any delivery fee is worked out from where a car starts, and the main site adds that figure to the total before you pay.
Will these rates still be right tomorrow?
Not necessarily. This page is built off the operator inventory and refreshes its rows once more after loading, so what you are reading is close to live rather than promised. The vehicle page prices your exact dates and that is the figure that counts.
Why is this a separate site from rochester.rentals?
Because somebody hunting a daily rate and somebody booking an airport pickup type different things into a search box, and this page answers the first in its own words. Nothing behind it is separate. The fleet, the vehicle pages and the checkout all live on rochester.rentals.

Start at the top of the ledger.

Open the first row whose rate suits you. The rest happens on that car's own page, where your dates set the total and rochester.rentals takes the booking.
